Collecting hardware logs from Dell Isilon clusters running OneFS is essential for diagnosing issues and maintaining system performance. This guide provides a simple, step-by-step approach to gather these critical logs.

  1. Use management IP address on browser and press Enter. You will get below screen.
  2. Login with root and Password as set and click on Log in button.DELL ISILON
  3. You will redirect to dashboard screen.
  4. Go to cluster Management and select Diagnostic option.
  5. Click on Gather tab and right side click on Start Gather button.
  6. You will have the options to collect the logs:Note: a) Full gather: Collects logs from the beginning
    b) Incremental gather: Start from last collected logs.
  7. Click on upload to default host and click on start gather button.
  8. You will see below Screen to show current status.
  9. You will find the downloaded logs file path in below.

Accessing through Command line:

  1. Start Putty and enter host name/ip address as SSH connection
  2. Log in as: root.
  3. On prompt cluster01-1# type command isi_gather_info-esrs
